In my haste to leave the office for vacation, I submitted this under the wrong topic. It was meant to go under the topic for "not complaining."

I learned this lesson as a child. While visiting my elderly grandfather who lived alone (my grandmother had died), I noticed that the bathroom was not clean and did not want to use it. When I mentioned it to my father, he said: "Clean it". I got the point immediately: 'Don't complain about something if you are not willing to do something about it.' Needless to say, I cleaned the bathroom.
I draw on this lesson very often and have found that it has taken me far. Precious time is not wasted in a negative mode and I accomplish a lot by taking the initiative to do something when I can, while I can. My sleep at night is restful knowing I have done what I should have done.
