Team work is a key ingrediate in today's world on almost every level but especailly in business. Joe's response not only made Gloria feel less inclined to make offers in the future but it also stymied the chance to nourish collabroative efforts. Unfortunately, if these points were brought to to Joe's attention, he would probably respond with another "Sure" or a "Whatever". Joe’s got a lot to learn about people relations.
