November 16, 2006Are You Insane?
When Gene suggested eliminating a report to streamline documentation of a process, Krystal asked,
- Are you insane?
It turned out there was reason to keep the procedure as it was, but that did not justify the reaction. The wording attacks the person, not the suggestion, and does it in an extreme way. The idea may not have been workable, but it wasn’t insane and neither was Gene for suggesting it.

This remark seems to me typical of the folks whose entire dialogue consists of an informal audition for a sit com. The comment, itself, is pretty foolish since a great many established procedures in businesses are, accurately, described as insane and need to be questioned.
My wife works for a company with six computers. When the company’s call volume became overwhelming, they hired two additional people to answer calls. Answering the calls requires a computer.
The company is buying out several smaller companies with different call response procedures. The new procedures are not published to those who answer the calls. I think it is important to point out detachment from reality. But, you know, you won’t get very far asking the kahuna’s , mini and major, if they are nuts.

I always have terrible trouble with comment-related plugins that require me to put some line in the comment loop; I can never seem to find the right spot. Can anyone tell me where I should put the php line in my comments loop? I haven not modified anything much, and I would be very grateful. Thanks!

I got the same tramadol attack… well, not the same, because it was only about 20 comments instead of 90, and i t have any filtering set up, and I just deleted them one at a time… hmm.. the only thing really in common was that it was about tramadol… what filter do you have set up that caught them all?
