May 2, 2009This week in the world ~ We twitter doings but don’t twitter feelings

Filed under: This Week in the World by merylrunion |

In my seminars I have people express themselves with the formula: I think, I feel, and I want. Most people can do the thoughts and wishes but flunk the feeling part. Last week I spoke to a group that was almost all counsellors and it was not different – they expressed thoughts as feelings and didn’t know what they felt.

The social media site Twitter invites posters to answer the question,  “What are you doing?”

I’d like a site that invites us to say what you’re feeling at various intervals throughout the day. That way we might learn to know what we feel.

That would certainly help us balance our communication.
