April 1, 2010The competition is getting younger, but this is ridiculous.
Number ten of the top ten extraordinary people in the world got my attention. She’s a seven year old girl with a radio show. She gives out advice to adults.
I hire and get hired by people half my age. People who didn’t exist when my son was born occasionally get the contract I wanted. But this is a little extreme.
And quite wonderful. I wouldn’t make a life-changing decision based on her advice, but there do seem to be things I can learn from her. Age is not the defining factor it once was.
I wonder what Elaina Smith would say I should do about my neighbor’s dog…

There is something to be said of the honesty of children though. It actually reminds me of your key phrase to: Say What You Mean, and Mean What You Say, but to Not Be Mean When You Say It!!
I think it is easy to listen to the honesty of a child in this case because her youth equals innocence and we can’t see any ill intent behind her words.

Yes, Ashley – it’s so true. Out of the mouth of babes. I actually think some of the things she’s quoted as saying are brilliant. I’ll gladly applaud anyone with wisdom regardless of age.
