June 19, 2010New article on rankism and synergy

Filed under: New Dynamics by merylrunion |

If you don’t know the word rankism, you do know the experience. Rankism is theĀ  antithesis of synergy and causes all kinds of failures of the imagination.

You can read about it in my recent article, From Rankism to Dynamic Dignity: How to shed hierarchical limits and enliven synergy.

Check it out and post your thoughts here. It’s of special interest to managers and HR professionals.

  1. Hello Meryl,

Your post on rankism and dignity made me happy. Happy that you explained the concept in a nuanced, personal, and powerful way. The examples you provide are illuminating and communicative.

I keep looking for new ways to plant this idea, and I think you’ve found one. One of my recent attempts is at: http://www.psychologytoday.com/node/38483
