June 26, 2008Reader Comment ~ Tears are the best
Hear. Hear. I have to commend the article on “The Secret Power of Tears”. As women in business, we are forced to hold back any and every emotion, especially tears. I have done this for years and have only recently learned how much this has affected me not only in my career, but also in personal relationships — and health. I may never cry in business, but I now agree with the power a discretely placed release such as tears can contribute to one’s life- and love!
March 18, 2008Reader Comment ~ Horton hears a Who
Always enjoy what you so generously share. Had to tell you I thought of you when I saw a scene from the new “Horton Hears a Who” movie the other day – I believe it was the elephant character that said something about “saying what you mean and meaning what you say”. Thought she must read Meryl’s ezine. I expected to hear the rest of it too : )
The phrase is: “I meant what I said and I said what I meant. An elephant’s loyal 100%.” And although I’d like to take credit for inventing his phrase or mine, I can only take credit for popularizing them. – meryl
March 10, 2008Reader Comment ~ privacy statement
I am in the middle of your Power Phrases book (which I am finding very valuable) and decided to check out your website to see if there were additional offerings to help me to practice and use power phrases regularly and naturally.
I came to your privacy statement as I was about to sign up for your weekly email and I clicked on it, expecting to see the legalese that these statements are always written in. Imagine my surprise and delight in finding the first ever privacy statement that as a layperson (not a lawyer) I could understand easily.
